Catriona Maclay
Catriona started her career as a Citizenship teacher, and a volunteer in her local community. She has worked extensively in social entrepreneurship, making sure that those closest to social problems are the people who are empowered to tackle them. These experiences led her to set up The Hackney Pirates (now the Literacy Pirates), an award-winning community-based literacy charity. Her recent work through Sea Change Strategy has focused on innovation in the economic and political systems that define how much power citizens have.
